How are dates and times written?

I understand years are written as SC 2XX, but how about months and days? Are the months still using the Gregorian calendar's setup (J F M A M J J A S O N D)? If not, what is used? Is it still written as "Month, 17, SC 2XX?"

Slowly working on a short lore story written as a colony head's log, so it's kinda necessary.

Why have months in space at all? They're used to track seasons on Earth, but if you were just syncing your calendar to the central extra-planetary government, it's probably easiest to just use "Day xxx of Year 2xxx."
Maybe use a Martian year as the standard?

For a SU Standard it probably still Earth as it still the head seat of the govt, a specific city in fact which is also why the main language is what it is as well.

Day xxx of Year 2xxx is a good thing to do.

I imagine there's an SU standard, but each colony runs on its own date system that corresponds with the local system's solar day and year. It's just not feasible to schedule work around a "day" that doesn't match up with sunrise and sunset at all.

These systems would probably zero at the time of first landing and have relatively low year numbers (but their orbital speed would be a factor).

This here makes the most sense, SU Standard is probably how things get scheduled across Transit Gates while colonies operate on local standards though IN the Transit Gate they still might operate on an SU standard too.

If I remember correctly, the Honor Harrington series mentions tracking calendars across several planets at some point early in the series.
