There are specific, agreed-upon rules for things like drones, infantry or tanks? Or is everything that is not a frame house-ruled?

Generally speaking and the simplest thing is to just treat them all as frames; mechanically speaking but if you to the Rules section than the Fan Rules you will find a fan made rule variants to cover non-frames and such.

Only house rules, I'm afraid, if you want units that are functionality distinct from Frames, but as Shades has said, the concept of a Frame is very broad and mercurial.

If you find that the base rules don't quite scratch your itch, these threads might be an interesting place to start.

MrTyler603 had an idea for representing Tau-style hover drones to supplement your Frames in combat, and Shades also includes examples of folks representing frame systems visually as tag-along drones with a technique coined "dispersed systems."

schoon proposed some interesting rules and spawned a lengthy discussion about the comparative abilities of infantry. Namely, it introduced d4s as alternative dice for non-frames.

Shades themselves published their thoughts on fielding a (specific) helicopter.

Lastly, I worked up these rules a while ago encompassing land and aerial vehicles. The post is long-winded with some visual aids.

I haven't scraped the bottom of the barrel, here. There are tons of great ideas out there, and if you have some to add, please share them here.

One option to keep in mind is just using them as under-equipped frames. It keeps with both the letter (avoiding occasionally cumbersome additions) and the spirit (frames should probably be the most bad-assed thing on the field, as a part of the setting) of the rules.

Want to try to underbid on systems and to have the lowest total and get those juicy points per asset a bit higher? Throw in a 2- or 3-system drone, vehicle, infantry stand, or whatever you come up with. It's visually clear that it's a less potent unit and gives you some room to play with while still making the game primarily about awesome giant robots.

{* waves *} Actually, I came up with that term five years ago.
