catapult build rules

I was wondering what a ship has to have on it to constitute a catapult? Can i just say a ship has a catapult? Do i have to physically have something representing it, if so what are the requirements?

You should include some part that can be taken off representing the system, but it can be anything from an elaborate flight deck to a prominent black stud. If for some reason that doesn't work for you, keeping a character sheet for your ships is also an option, as long as you have some way to keep track is fine.
