Frame companies on a 4x4 base that isn't flat?

I wasn't sure whether this was a better fit for the Rules section or the Forge. Feel free to moderate accordingly.

If the 4x4 base for a frame company isn't flat on the surface, does it have an impact on game play? I was trying to angle the tops accordingly and came up with the idea attached... but I'm curious.

Is the slightly shorter base a problem?
Is the inability to identify a clear "back of the base" a problem?



It really seems like a negligible stylistic difference to me... but I tend to over-analyze things at times and I do have to admit that it is technically the wrong size, when viewed from directly above.

Since frame companies don't have a "facing," a clear back of base is unimporant. Since range is measured from the company's base, however, its uniformity is important. I like the dynamic posing you've achieved, but it would have a (small) impact on the game's mechanics, so I wouldn't recommend it above, say, using spacers on a flat 4x4.

You could use this with the corresponding base on top of the plate to achieve a similar effect.

If you need to tilt something with a 4x4 base, this is an easy way to do it.
