Getting ready for another me vs me game.

Getting ready for another me vs me game. Purple will be attacking from a dropship to get their tiny space ship back.

Added a hex grid this time so I don't have to be constantly measuring distances. We'll see how it turns out in play.

I liked my old map better. Live and learn.

What are you using to create those maps? I wouldn't mind throwing down a few simulated battles like this myself.

The map looks nice and I like the hex grid however I think the difference in perspective is going to cause issues. Your hexes don't match what the terrain would look like if you were viewing it from a purely top-down perspective because of the way the map is drawn. If you are going to put a grid down, you really need to orient the map in a purely top-down view for it to work (unless you are able to adjust your hex grid to use the same perspective as the map itself).

MittenNinja, I'm drawing them on an iPad. The first map was with Papers by 53, and this one is with Procreate. Added the hex grid laterin photoshop.

Dukayn, actually, I did add perspective to the hex grid. I think it's okay though to mix a top down grid with perspectived buildings. Gameplay really just depends on the grid, the rest is fluff that sets cover and movement.

I agree with the point above regarding perspective. Digging these maps, my man, and looking forward to seeing how this works out!

Please never stop drawing maps. They delight me. :D
