Heya!

On Saturday, the 21st of June, I made it out the Gamer's HQ, and found two people eagerly waiting to play MFZ. I set up shop, chatted a bit and then sent both of them into the fray.

Dominique's Starting Four:
2x d6W d6W d6Y d6B d6G d6Rd d6Rd
2x d6W d6W d6Y d6B d6G d6Ra d6Ra
2x stations
6 assets x 5 ppa = 30 points

Stefan's Starting Four:
4x d6W d6W d6Y d6B d6G d6Rd d6Rd
2x stations
6 assets x 5 ppa = 30 points

Stefan wins the roll-off and goes first. He sets up his stations as the defender and keeps them close and near cover. Dominique deploys in a very classic wargaming setup, making the mirror. Assets in the back, a shielding of frames in a circle. Stefan follows initial deployment by sending two frames up Dominique's flank to hound the Arty frame which cannot fire back.

Image

Stefan starts by shooting the Arty frame in cover, rolls a good offense, but only does one point of damage. The cover gets smoked partially and Stefan moves his frame right up to the remainders. Dom's Artyframe bails. The focussed return fire of the now-spotted frame from both the second arty and the direct-fire scrambler cost Stefan's frame dearly. He is reduced to 1 White. Follow-up fire costs Dom's Scrambler a scratch, but that's okay.

DDC is at 8, goes down to 7. Stefan and Dom both ticks, down to 5.

Image

Stefan's wreck is destroyed, but leaves a juicy spot on Dom 01, which is used by Stefan 02 for a whooping 3 points damage. Dom is now up with 30 points, over Stefan's 25 and has now the initiative. Up North, both direct-fire frames trade fire with mild abrasion. Stefan starts to move for Dominique's middle station to make up for the points loss.

DDC is at 5, down to 4. Stefan ticks, down to 3.

Image

Up North, both frames end up dead, dropping both players by 5 points, to 25 vs. 20. With most of Dom's firepower bound up there, Stefan can move without other harm across the map, now between either station. He is hesitating, because he needs to kill one frame and grab a station to win this.

DDC is at 3, down to 2. Dom ticks, down to 1.

Image

Intercepting Stefan, Dom moves both wounded frames into melee range of his middle station, contesting them even if Stefan makes it there. Furthermore, despite the fire of Stefan's remaining frames, he cannot take out the Scrambler. Stefan tried, and both objective (grab a station, kill a frame) failed. The opponents shake hands and giggle about the destruction on the battlefield.

DDC at 1, down to 0. Game over, Dominique wins.

This time, I added more information to the photos. Hope this is better!

Yeah! Really easy to follow. Was the water considered hazardous terrain?

It was considered pretty and shalow enough for frames to wade through without much inhibitation. No need to overcomplicate a demo game. This game took about 2.5h to complete because we took our time with it, explaining as we went along.
