Deployment.
The Raiders set up east with Dancer and Sliver down, guarding a station each. Ambercroft takes point again, because he is a hero. Vale is right behind him. Giabene stays behind, overlooking the entire field. Seeberg takes the western flank, guarding a station. As expected, Outlaw threatens this station and binds Seeberg into fulfilling his role.

Turn #1 - DDC 11.

Image
Sliver opens fire at Ambercroft, who's 6 DEF make damage impossible. Sliver drops a 2 SPOT, Ambercroft lazes him for 5 SPOT. Ambercroft makes a 4 MOVE, and marches to wards the station Sliver is guarding. Sliver remains stationary.

Image
Dancer moves in, firing a 7 ATK with his d8Rr at Ambercroft, using the 2 SPOT, he goes for 3 damage rolls, confirms none. Ambercroft raises his chin into the midday sun and all shots cannot break his manliness. Dancer drops a 3 SPOT on him, just to make a point.

Image
Outlaw aims and shells Vale, but her 5 DEF renders the attack ineffective. She fires at the spotted Sliver, confirming 1 DMG, ripping his d6G off. She also drops a 4 SPOT back on Sliver.

Image
Seeberg marches towards Outlaw but cannot make it into range. Meanwhile, Giabene cannot use the 4 SPOT on Sliver to confirm any damage.

DDC: -1 (end of turn), -1 (Night Raiders), now: 9.
Initiative: Nightraiders - 30. 13th Guard: 24. (unchanged)

Turn #2 - DDC: 9.

Postby Ced23Ric » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:54 pm

Image
Sliver hobbles around the wall, after shooting at Ambercroft. They exchange bullets, but his 5 DEF holds for this volley. He gets a 3 SPOT, but Sliver gets 5 SPOT in return, almost negating his 6 DEF. He scoots closer to the station, still relying on his manliness to remain impervious to mere things such as bullets.

Image
Dancer moves back up to his station and hit Ambercroft for 3 DMG, knocking all but his trusty "Predator" rifle of the W-Chub. Momentarily confused about how that could happen, Ambercroft keels over. Dancer leaves a 6 SPOT on him.

Image
Outlaw seizes the opportunity and fires his d6Ra LRMs at Ambercroft. Regaining confidence in the indestructability of a sharp mind, Ambercroft see 7 damage rolls coming his way and throws his rifle in the path of the missiles, as the only casualty. Real men don't need guns to be awesome.

Image
Vale is done playing games. She seizes the spot on Sliver and deals him 3 DMG, while also putting a 5 SPOT on Outlaw. Giabene seals his fate with a volley of her own d6Ra LRMs, dealing him 4 DMG, after hitting his cover twice, shredding it into tiny little bits not worth mentioning anymore.

Image
Seeberg and Outlaw have history, so he throws his Chub into gear, accelerates, but, again, is out of range.

DDC: -1 (end of turn), -1 (Night Raiders), now: 7.
Initiative: Nightraiders - 30. 13th Guard: 24. (unchanged)

Turn #3 - DDC: 7.

Vale bumps up and grabs the station for the SU, all the time firing at Dancer. Her 2 DEF isn't to great, especially since she is in the open, but Ambercroft taught her the way of the Hairy Chest. She takes 2 DMG from Dancer who confirms 2 of his 7 damage rolls. She loses her carapace ( d6B) and her long range scanner ( d6Y). Regardless, the station is SU property now and Dancer is tagged for deletion.

Initiative: NR -6, now 24. 13th +4, now 28. 13th is up.

Giabene fires at Dancer, hitting his cover twice and deals him 2 DMG, causing him to lose his d8Rd and d6Y.

Ambercroft is too legit to quit, using his lower weight (because he lost all systems), he hauls his stumbling, smoking wreck of a 'frame forward, completely ignoring the undamaged Dancer. He falls down, just at the station, but cannot tag it. Still, Dancer gets a tiny 2 SPOT from him.

Seeberg fires his d8Rr at Outlaw, who is a smoking, hobbling wreck. The resulting damage does him in. Seeberg moves east, trying to join up with the rest of the column.

Sorry, forgot to take pictures. Things got intense. Ambercroft was too manly.

Initiative: NR -6, now 18. 13th still 28.

DDC: -1 (end of turn), -2 (NR & 13th), now: 4.
Initiative: Nightraiders - 18 (-12). 13th Guard: 28 (+4).

Turn #4 - DDC: 4.

Postby Ced23Ric » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:55 pm

Image
Ambercroft likes his cake and eats it to. He drops a 4 SPOT on Dancer and crawls back behind friendly lines with a 3 MOVE. Vale fires, dealing Dancer 1 DMG, ripping his autocannon off. Dancer pulls back, away from the advancing SU 'frames, and Vale bumps up, but she falls short of the station.

Image
He also gets a juicy 6 SPOT for Giabene, from Vale. Giabene uses the opportunity to putz around like a rookie and her missiles go wild, doing a whole lot of nothing. Meanwhile, Seeberg has enough of Sliver and just flat-out annihilates him.

Intitiative: NR -6, now 12.

DDC: -1 (end of turn), -1 (Night Raiders), now: 1.
Initiative: Nightraiders - 12 (-6). 13th Guard: 28. (unchanged)

Ambercroft keeps crawling away from Dancer, Seeberg fires at Dancer, leaves a 6 SPOT for Giabene, who then fails again. Vale tags the last NR station and allows Dancer to crawl away with d6Rd d6Rd d6W d6W still intact.

Intitiative: NR -6, now 6. 13th +4, now 32.

DDC: -1 (end of turn), now: 0. Game over.
Initiative: Nightraiders - 6 (-6). 13th Guard: 32. (+4)

Admiral Ackbar declares the battered and bruised, but very manly Lt. Ashley Vale and her 13th Guard victorious again.
The heavily damaged Dancer is a sad puppy.
Ambercroft gets promoted to Sergeant. He is also awarded the black/white/red heart. It's metal. PURE. METAL.
Giabene is demoted to Corporal. That'll teach her to waste 6 and 5 SPOTs.
