Mobile Frame Zero: At the Movies/TV

Postby Shades_Corvid » Tue Jun 28, 2016 10:40 am

So I have a fun little idea. Let's take our favorite movies and TV shows than give them a MF0/Solar Calender twist? I will go fist to provide an example.

Enemy Mind (Original Movie: Enemy Mine)

In the far future Terran Transit Marine pilot is forced to crash land his frame on a hostile world after sustaining too much damage in battle. When looking for other survivors the marine pilot finds an enemy pilot has also crashed, an Ijad 'parasite' and their injured ghanat host body. They are forced to team up to survive and in the end will have an inseparable bond.

That is very good. The gauntlet has been thrown!

Separatist Seven

A small band of Free Colonists are besieged by the Terran Transit Marines. Can a group of seven unlikely mercenaries bond together, and find a way to win their freedom?

{Original Movie: The Magnificent Seven (Original Original Movie: Seven Samurai)}

Sokokunst Hustle

Once promised he would be the greatest frame pilot in a generation; Sing lives his life as a dispirited wanderer, a loser with nothing more than a broken down conscript. When Sing tries to extort a small outpost by claiming to be a bondmate of a marauding Ijad tribe, he finds himself on the wrong side of a secret community of battle hardened veterans armed to the teeth. Sing's antics lead to war when the real marauders arrive unexpectedly, and he's caught in the middle. Will Sing find it in himself to be the pilot he was meant to be, and a hero as well, or will The Monster destroy everything in its quest to find a worthy adversary?

Warriors in Disguise (Original series: Transformers)

After a brutal civil war devastated their home planet of Seheru, a tribe of Ijad called the au-Dogruih (Honest Ones) have smuggled themselves to the Solar Union colony of Erebus under the leadership of their bold but kind-hearted chief, Ovladih. But the brutal warlord Masinih followed them to Erebus, leading an army of vicious raiders called the au-Qatilih (Destroyers) bent on wiping out the au-Dogruih and plundering Erebus's resources for themselves. Erebus is a colony without a previous Ijad presence, and neither tribe is eager to have the UMFL interfering in their conflict, so rather than using mobile frames, they bond with native animals to fight their war in secret as warriors in disguise.

(Maybe a bit of a stretch, but it was the best I could think of.)

The Dark Transit (Original Movie: The Dark Crystal)

10 human engineers rush to complete the construction of a transit gate on an alien world. Once finished, they intend to open it to allow human colonization of the planet, and in the process, destroy all indigenous life. A lone Ijad, who learns of this appending disaster to his planet, must brave many trials and dangers to find the main Transit Gate Core and sabotage it with a radioactive shard isotope. But if the Ijad can survive the journey, can he get past the 'Garthum' Frames that protect the Tranist Core?

(Not much of an idea, but I figured I'd share. I think it would make an interesting movie, but I'll let you judge for yourselves.)

Pimp My Frame (Original Series: Pimp My Ride )

A resourceful crew of experts takes mobile frame customizing to a completely different level by taking some of the sorriest frames on the turf and turning them into impressive new rides. Occasionally, if the participant's car is deemed unfix-able or unsafe to work on, the crew gives the person a new mobile frame -- tricked out, of course.

I can't believe this one has been so overlooked:

Who Frame(d) The Ijad? (Original Movie: Who Framed Roger Rabbit?)

An Ijad Movie star is on the run for it's survival when it is blamed for killing its executive movie producer after it is believed the producer is having an affair with the Ijad's host. At the heart of this conspiracy is an unknown pursuer with goals to overrun the town with Mobile Frames. Can a second-rate detective clear the Ijad's name and find the real killer before Mobile Frames take over the town?

(A bit of a stretch, but I like the idea.)
