Different Screen Names

Postby Mantisking » Tue Jun 12, 2012 8:47 am

So how many of you out there have different screen names? I've noted a few between here, the Flickr group, and the FB group. It's a little disconcerting seeing creations from one person being posted under another name until I figure out that they're the same person.

I've been lucky that so far I've to really find anyone else who goes by Dukayn so that's what I tend to use everywhere where I can. Flickr I'm dukayn66 - it was for a Yahoo account when I was 17 and I have no idea why I added the numbers. I'm sure it made sense at the time :P

Other than that I go by my real name on things like G+ and Facebook, obviously.

I try to get Axhead where ever I go online, usually there isn't a problem. I have lofty and unrealistic of desk top publishing a game under the name, but so far that has come no where near actually occuring.

I usually don't have a problem getting my name, but on larger sites/forums I opt for LowestForm0fWit with a 'zero' vs LowestFormOfWit with an 'O'.

FerrelFerret is my name around most of the net.

In the past, before '05, it was mechrider or mechriderii. And no, that was not a Battletech or Mechwarrior inspired name. (If any MoF0 can figure out that reference, they'll be my best friend forevar! XD)

Feel free to look me up on XBLN or PSN.

I have only ran into one instance, ever, where MittenNinja was already taken. Even in that case I used 'MittenNinj4'.

I've used my real, full name online for almost a decade. So I have it at any site about which I'd give a damn (and Flickr ain't one of them!).

Aside from my flickr(Steel Dragons). I'm either known as DeathZero or Jinx Bizzar around the net. I do use my real name for facebook, which is listed as T.J. Ritter.

On flickr I'm mfer . I made the account all the way back in 2005 (before Yahoo bought them out) to comment on a picture of Mega Force toys, of which I am a collector.

I try and keep names similar by genre. If two things are not meant to cross, I use a different name, as IMHO, you guys don't need to know what I do on say, Batoto. However, since I only use Flickr for Lego, I use the same handle there.

I make attempts to keep Mercutio or Mercutio01 on any forum I am a member of. Flickr had both taken, so I just used my real name. Other than that and my email, I'm fairly sure that my internet handle is the same.

My Dad used to call me Grasshopper, but that's generally taken on anything but a brand new forum/game. So I decided to throw a "4" in the middle, not sure why. Though I occasionally feel the need to explain that it is NOT a drug reference when I'm getting to know someone online tot time.

I generally use that name anymore, though a few of my older names are: DeathToMinmei, QuackQuack22 and SukottoSan.

I believe it's short for William.

Correct. My first name is William, I go by my middle name Bryon (and yes, it's an odd/old spelling of 'Brian'). Genealogical and other historical records in English used abbreviations for given names: Wm. (William), Thos. (Thomas), Abm. (Abraham), Jas. (James)...
