HAWKEN Tribute

Postby Trokodile » Mon Jul 22, 2019 9:04 am

I would like to take a moment to honor the great mech fps known as HAWKEN. I've designed a series of HAWKEN-themed MF0 items; 5 frames, 2 stations, a SSR, and a garage. This is more of a full company than anything else, and I think that would go here.

First: my take on the HAWKEN Vytro mech, perhaps my favorite. It's pictured with various terrain and stations I use in most games. (Please ignore the Mega Construx shields) Its asymmetry was also a challenge for me, but I think it turned out well. For the legs, I just modified Super Chub legs... Which worked.

Loadout: Choose 4 of these!
d6Ra d6Ra Charge Cannon (uses telescope piece)
d6Rd d6Rd Breacher (uses binoculars piece)
d6B Stealth System (cheese slope on top)
d6Y Dual Antennae
d6G Thrusters

Below are three frames and the other bits I've made.

The left frame is just my AEILOS core with swapped weaponry. I've modified it to look like the HAWKEN Berserker mech.
Loadout:
d6Rd d6Rd Submachine Cannon
d8Rr TOW Rocket
d6G Jump Jets

The right frame is a Vanguard. In-game, it has an ability that transforms it into a tank of sorts. And, before you ask, its bricked counterpart can do so as well!

Loadout:
d6Rd d6Rd BEAR-BBY
d8Rr Grenade Launcher
d6B Left Arm Shield
d6B Right Arm Shield

The stations are the anti-air from each map's center and the repair orbs dropped upon death.

The fourth HAWKEN-inspired frame is my Ravager from earlier. Here's a reminder of this Raider-inspired Mech!

Lastly, a take on the Reaper mech! I didn't have time for a proper photo before deconstruction, but this shows it enough.

Loadout:
d6Rd d6Rd d8Rd Hawkins-RPR
d6Ra d6Ra KE-Sabot
d6G Thrusters

As a bonus, I've also made a mega version of the Reaper! I think it'd fit maybe 18p scale?

Actually, only the two orange shields and the wall with the black base are terrain. The other six are station designs meant as strategic locations in the battlefield! I have used them as terrain, though, which is why I designed them at the three-brick height.
Kinda wish my take on the Vytro was getting more attention, though.

Ravager

I'm considering making this frame into a separate post, but I figured for now I'll make a 360-degree view of it.
