Just kidding, it's the most obviuos Battletech rip off, ever. I couldn't put the cockpit in the right place though, but I hope you like it anyways ;)

Systemwise I think d6Rd d6Rd d6B d6Y is the best fit for the given aesthetics

Hmm.... a name... a name... what's in a name...

I can't help but feel it should either be called Warhammer or Destroid Tomahawk lol. (Bragging points to anyone who gets the references)

Really nice though, This is one of the most complete detailed ones I've seen of this size. Well done.

I'm sorry when it comes to names I'm not really all that good, but I did want to say that frame looks awesome! :D

This is awesome. You captured the look of the frame in bricks incredibly well, and if I was a Battletech fan I have no doubt I would have recognized this right away.
Nice job.

Those angled side-torsos are really clever!

Thank you all for the comments :)

The joke about the name may not be that obvious for everyone, but this is the "star" robot portrayed in the box of the first editions of Battletech. Kind of what happens with the "ST-07 Chub" in MFZ.

The name is "Warhammer", although it's a famous copy of the Destroid "Tomahawk", from the anime Macross, as Artasid very well knows.

I'm a huge fan of Macross, which I discovered because I was also a fan of Battletech, until I noticed that I only liked their Macross' rip-offs  (or incorrectly licenced designs, depending on who tells the story). But as most people knows Battletech better than Macross, I tend to use the names of the former.

I've made my fair attempts to create my own original MFZ frames, but they all fell short compared with these outside classics, so I felt like building them at MFZ scale as a learning exercise. And it's been quite an enjoyable challenge...

That looks amazing.
How do the knees work?

you could try raising it by one plate and topping with a cheese grater.

 I didn't know that cheese grater name. Thanks for the idea, I'll try it out. It also suggests me Bricklink part #11477, or some bigger one of the same "family"

The knees don't "work" (bend, I mean) but Chub's don't work either ;)

The brick you might not recognize is Bricklink part #25893, so it's not possible to build until Lego gives us some other colors

Final version, and his little brother Defender/Rifleman (in Macross/Battletech naming).
I need to work on a Batletech themed frame company, best crossover ever :D
(I did'nt go with the "cheese grater" for the head of the Warhammer, although I believe it has the best shape, because I intend to put a sticker up there, and the grilled surface wouldn't work)
