I'm glad you noticed that, its something I tried really hard to get close to the source for.

Gonna drop several Stud.io revamps of Chubdams I've bricked in the past. Soon I really need to upgrade the actual bricked versions as well!

Finally, a build I'd pretty proud of for squeezing all the weapons in so tightly, the Frost Gigas. Funny enough I'm not sure if I posted the original Gouf inspired frame I made a year or two (or three?) ago, but I'll be adding this one to the master database front page, which I super need to reorganize and clean up....

So tired... its been a whirlwind 4 day weekend. I blame Vitor for giving me the Zeon bug with his Zoghbi. Sadly back to work tomorrow, but I was toying with trying out a Kampfer next, once I have a wee bit of a breather.

You would think using the Chub as a base for everything would make this easier. You would think.

Does the Roc actually transform? If so, I'd love to see an in-between modes pic.

It does in fact transform. Simply need to remove the yellow tile on the bottom of the rifle. It was a real pain to transform it in Stud.io though and I'm loathe to repeat it for a half way shot. Basically, the waist and legs turn around, the waist armor folds out, the arms rotate back, the head comes up while the antenna folds out, the wings even out, the rifle turns upside down and the back most stud attaches to the bottom of the head, and the shield attaches to the stud exposed by removing the yellow tile. Actually... this would be a great chance to play with the new animation features, but I heard they take literally hours to compile. Still, a worthy video to aim for if I can reduce the work/time involved.

Emberness, based on the Alteisen from Super Robot Taisen/OG. This is an update to an old build that was good for its time I think, but I really wanted to incorporate the opening missile hatches from the Brimstone along with streamlining the rest of the frame.

It occurs to me that were the Alteisen to exist in Gundam lore, it would fit at the end of the One Year War if Zeon captured Gundam Alex and modded it for Char. Just replace the revolver stake with a beam saber and give it a beam rifle. Somewhere between a Rick Dom and the Sazabi. Now I just need someone to write this fan fic for me.

Heathorn: d6Rh d6Rh or d8Rh or d8Rr or d6Y

Chubdam Destrier Rouge gets a minor revamp, focusing on improving color usage, slimming armor, updating the jump pack, and let's see I'm missing something...

...oh yet a little thing called the ANTI-EVERYTHING SWORD.

Based on Gundam Astray Red Frame from Gundam Seed.

The rendering really makes it look even better, given the shading.

Went ahead and updated the Destrier to go with the Destrier Rouge. Took some liberties with the shield, and added a deflection bar. Occurs to me that if you flip the shield around, the bar could be used to trap bladed weapons, locking it against the shield.

Those follow your current trend of getting some absurdly great looking proportions and a clean look while keeping all the detail! Fantastic as always!

Been playing with the new arms that McKelvie from the FB page came up with, and I'm absolutely loving them. I find turning rotating them 90 degrees so that the joints focus on horizontal instead of vertical bending works better both for a few reasons, most important of which is to open up the horizontal swing in the arms which is completely missing from the standard Chub arm. Mind you, there's still some extra vertical motion in the new arms, but its more subdued.

Anyway one thing lead to another, and now I've revamped the Barbatos inspired Gigas Chubdam which was a long time coming.

Those new arms go especially well on a Barbatos build, since they are supposed to look more exposed and mechanical.

I still prefer the classic Chub arms for UC MSs, thou.

Its the little things that count. Trying to be more suggestive with details rather than nailing down every lil idea. Of course that said....

Breaks over, so thought I'd warm up with something easy. Chubdam Scarecrow, based on the Gundam Narrative with its B pack equipped. Sadly cheated with the wide use of dark blue, truly an underappreciated and underutilized color in brick. Pretty happy overall with how this turned out. The half shields combine by rotating the missile pods on the right shield so it can connect to the pods on the left shield (the handle also swings in to point to the other shield, and there's just enough room for it to fit!). Took me only two tries to nail down the design for the backpack and the wired units, which I think is a new record. When bricked up, the wired units will attach to the side of the clear stand pieces I love so much.

Only question now is, do I make the A pack to scale with the Chubdam, or scaled for Intercept Orbit?

Speaking as someone who has built the 1/144th scale A-packs, I'd love to see how it looks in your 7p style, even if it has absolutely no hope of fitting in The Box.

I started toying with it, but I could use reference shots with parts removed if you had the time. Every thing I'm seeing online is of fully completed forms.
Edit: I found some great reference material after all! Gonna be tough but I'm trying for it.

Kyle LaBonte on the FB page (not sure if they have a hangar account) requested the Psycho Frame C Pack, which was relatively simple to do. Adds two more brick with non legal colors to the design for a total of 4 I believe.
