Lockon

Postby VitorFaria » Sun Aug 02, 2015 3:53 pm

Inspired by Lockon Stratos and their Mobile Suits from Gundam 00, this is the Lockon Mobile Frame.

I took the idea from Shkval by Mantisking, but it ended up looking very different.

d6Rd d6Rd Plasma Rifle
d6Y V-shaped Antenna
d6G Back Mounted Fusion Reactor
d6B Shoulder Shields
d6W d6W

I'm quite proud of it's proportions and I think I finally mastered the use of Mixel style joints on the hip section.

Very cool! I've thought about working on his suits before, hard to right good dark green pieces though. I like the v fin, looks familiar ;)

Going for the rest?

Great minds and all that. I especially like the Exia chest on your red frame.

I've modded Lockon so it resembles my Boxy Boys more, as it's supposed to lead them. It ended up with an even greater Gundam 00 fell as I added a GN-Condenser-like thing on it's chest.

I'm really proud of those new arms, they can bend at the elbow while being fairly short.

Love the changes, small but add up. The neck especially flows much better now with the trim overall appearance. Perhaps so smooth green panels on the sides of the legs?

Thanks, man!

I've tried throwing panels on the side of the legs, but this have two unfortunate side effects:

1: The legs become too wide, if this where "Tieria" this wouldn't be a problem, but this is "Lockon" so it is.

2: It would break the illusion that the green things on the front are large knee pads. At least in my opinion.

I really like this. One thing I would change is I'd come over the top with the brackets on the leg, which would allow a 2x2 Tile (Square or Round) to cover the bottom studs of the waist.

A 2x2 Tile (Square or Round) can cover the bottom studs of the waist already, check the picture of the armored frame above.

New variation, now a labor frame to spice things up!

The extra manipulators are meant to cling into external bars on space stations and ships, in order to repair their exterior safely.

d6G Extra Manipulators
d6B d6B Heavy Anti-Debris Plating

Neat! I like how when the extra arms are folded in, they can almost pass for ordinary armor.
