Scrambler, modified

Scrambler, modified, on Flickr.

This Scrambler is a cross between Soren's initial idea, my new Quad design and the legs from this AYates frame. I had the initial idea while I was at work yesterday after seeing AYates Slate design and I banged it out pretty quickly once I got home and had access to my parts.

This has a strong design. Very fond of the central body with the diamond tile.

Hmm, I'd like to see it with those red parts in white too.

Thanks.

I think I have enough parts to put together another one with white accents.

Woah, that's one of the best alternative builds for the Scrambler I've ever seen. Or even one of the best alternative builds for any of the book frames.

It's both accurate and simple to build, well done!

Also, I want to call out that three-antenna sensor module as being a cute little system.

Thanks. I figure it makes a good d6Y for the Soldier loadout on this frame. I wanted to make one for the first Scrambler but I don't have any red Lampholders at the moment.

Yes to the three-antenna. Could even be a stun gun or something.

Green Strider, on Flickr.

I built another Strider model as I had an idea for double Direct Fire weapons.

The head on this looks very mantis-like.

Yeah, I missed the head on the earlier version. It's got a good shape.

Okay, so I had another one left in me. I blame Blorf and Gusindor.

Yellow Strider, modified, on Flickr.

And considering Joshua's statement the other day that the Solar Union names Ijad frames with words starting with the letter "S", I've come up with additional names for these frames. The Artillery one is the "Sniper" variant, the Direct Fire is called "Striker", and this HtH model is called the "Slicer".

Nice! The alt Scrambler designs are great, and the Sniper, Striker, and Slicer are all cool in their own ways.

Thanks. Once I get that Red Scrambler outfitted like the White one I'm going to take a group shot of all five together.

Mushroomhead Scrambler, on Flickr.

Developed after a conversation with Michael Raichelson about melee Scramblers. Once again built on my Quad design and using the legs from this AYates frame. The head is an attempt to make something a little different than the normal Scrambler, and possibly something big enough for a Human/Ijad pairbond.
