White Light

Postby Ironclaw Buzzardier » Fri Apr 18, 2014 2:12 am

Here is the last frame company from my inaugural game. White Light is the company my 9 year old put together. Unlike my 6 year old who wanted to see lots of examples of what he could build, and then used lots of community instructions, White Light was built in a matter of hours. Something like:
"We are going to try a game that uses LEGO models"
"What kind of models"
"Frames, which are giant robo-"
And he was off and building

This child's enthusiasm and skill give me hope for all mankind. I salute you, for what must be wonderful parenting talent. I've been fiddling with this game for about two weeks now, and I don't even have a full squad (or company, w/e) put together with stations.

I keep getting distracted, experimenting with different concepts and styles...

It's fun engaging your kids with stuff like this and seeing what they come up with.

Flying Armor is my fav. Heavy Light is pretty rad too.

Foe Hawk: Isn't it funny how we get all wrapped up in details trying to get it just right? Meanwhile kids are just like "Why you gotta make this so complicated?" and bust out a whole company in couple hours. I know how you feel man. I have about 6 hours into a single frame I've been tinkering with the last few days and it's still not quite done.
